Gondi Literary summit demands inclusion in 8th schedule
Pramod Potai from Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh says that in 16th National Gondi literary conference which took place in Baitul Madhya Pradesh between 24th and 26th Dec the Gondi scholars from all over the country demaned that the language should be included in the 8th schedule of the constitution to make it a national language. Police again enters adivasi kitchens defying their tradition
Khuturam Sunani from Nuapada district of Odisha says I had reported about an incident from month of January where police had entered the kitchen of adivasis in Bhavsil villlage and according to their tradition the tribals had burnt more than 50 kitchens as they do after any outsider enters their kitchen. PDS system has not improved even after a starvation death
Khuturam Sunani from Nuapada district of Odisha says as you know Laxman Nayak died of starvation when no PDS rice reached his village for 5 months and also there was no NREGA work. We had thought after the report has gone out the administration will be more cautious but in a nearby panchayat people have not got ration for 2 months. Power transmission companies cheating farmers on land use
Pramod Chandel from Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh says the farmers who are giving land to power companies are getting lots of money but the companies are cheating farmers who gave land for transmission lines. Many have not got any money including me who was offered Rs 60,000 six months back when they used my half acre land but I am yet to get any money. Govt gives certificate of being Bonded labour, but no help!
Khuturam Sunnai from Nuapada district of Odisha says our Govt says Bonded labor system has fininshed but story of 90 laborers tell some other story. These laborers were rescued by Divisional Revenue officer in Tamilnadu from a brick kiln and had sent them back with a certificate of them being bonded labors. Labor officers in Odisha state has accepted those certificates but 6 months after the incident also the laborers have not been helped according to Bonded labour act.
