NMDC should be responsible for non-fulltime employees too
Yashwant Ramteke from Dantweda in Chhattisgarh says National Mineral Development corporation ( NMDC) run iron ore mines are the only big industrial activity in Bastar district at the moment. NMDC takes good care of its regular employees but mainly local adivasis are employed by contractors who does not take good care of them and adivasis get exploited because they are not educated and they do not know their rights. When it is raised with NMDC they say it is not their duty to ensure well being of these daily wage laborers which much change. For more Ramteke ji can be reached at 09424278552
