Khuturam Sunani from Nuapada district of Odisha is visiting a village in Sinapali block where he talks to students and parents. They tell him that in the school there are 97 students but only one teacher. They tell him that in 2004 they had 4 teachers but that has now reduced to one and children are facing huge problems. They have complained to the authorities but it does not help. Parents are thinking of putting a lock on the school. Reena Ramteke from Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh is talking to Kham Singh a laborer who tells her that they worked uner NREGA in the month of February but have not got any wages. They first wrote to forest department where they had worked. Yashwant Ramteke from Dantewada tells us that to protest against Bodhghat hydel power project a rally was organised in Jagdalpur yesterday Chhattisgarh Swabhiman Manch. The leader Subhash Maurya says though Govt is not telling anything the proposed dam on Indravati for 50 MW project will submerge more than 72,000 people from 100+ villages in 32 panchayats. Yashwant Ramteke is raising the issue of villages on the other side of Bailadila hills who are at the border of Dantewada and Bijapur district. These village are neither forest villages nor they are counted as revenue villages. For this reason they do not get any government support of any type.
