He says a dalit went for his hair cut on 19th June and was beaten by 4 men of upper caste. A FIR was filed the next day but police has not taken any action. Hariram Korram from Chhattisgarh Viklang Manch ( Handicaped association) is saying that handicapped people are facing various kinds of problem because of insensitivity of state govt officials. Panchayats do not have provisions to help handicapped people and the central law of 1995 is not known to handicapped people in remote areas and the state govt does not implement these laws. The farmer says more than 500 acre of land in around 60-70 villages have gone under water but government has not done anything to help the farmers.
