Elephant herd of 40 destroying houses from week, Forest dept not helping...

Dheerendra Singh Maliya from Dharmajaigarh block in Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh is visiting Omna village where elephants have destroyed houses last night. Affected villagers tell him that a herd of 40 elephants is roaming in the area from one week and an elephant which has got separated is harming villagers. Forest dept is not helping. Govt making money by cutting forest, Dont allow adivasis wood for daily use

We adivasis don't have land rights, Forest dept people say we wont get any...

Bhumi Adhikar cycle Yatra demanding 5 acre of land to each landless has reached village Chhuhi in Majhauli block of Sidhi district in MP. Chhotu Adivasi traveling with the yatra is talking a Adivasi boy Arjun who was put behind bar and is now out on bail. He says none of 500 adivasi have land rights and forest people say they will not get any rights. Pahadi Korwa adivasis applied for Forest Rights Act 3 years ago, No reply...
