Brijesh Kumar, a dalit activist from village Lohgarh in Rewa district of MP says in past I have used Swara in getting dalits their due wages, bonded laborers rescued and getting them subsidized ration etc. On 6th August we are opening a Dalit Swara Bal Kendra ( child center) where we will teach Dalit children for 2 hours free of cost and once a week tell people on how to use Swara to solve their problems. Sajal Kumar from Raigarh Chhattisgarh is telling about elephants harassing and forest dept not helping. He says elephants started coming to villages from 2003 and people are demanding elephant corridor since then but Govt is more interested in opening coal mines. 27 elephants have died since and govt has paid more than Rs 4 crore in compensation. Rajkumar Sinha from Bargi dam displaced peoples organisation is telling that Govt is misleading us about proposed atomic power plant in Chutka in Mandla district in MP. He says these adivasis were displaced by Bargi dam and why should we be displacing same people again. People have said in their Gram Sabha that they dont want to give their land and secondly this entire area is a hazardous seismic zone which Govt is trying to hide.
