But 30 years on the lands are still occupied by influential people. They have requested officials many times, have done dharna. Lower officials demand bribe. Rajkumar Ji from Baghelkhand Adivasi Mukti Morcha in Satna Madhya Pradesh says 9 laborers had died on 6th January in Turra village of Majhgawan block when they had gone for mining work. They had reported on Swara after that that the reason people were forced to go for this dangerous work of mining because there is no NREGA work in the region. Sajal Kumar is calling from Dharmajaigarh in Raigarh district Chhattisgarh ito tell us that police has arrested Radheshyam Sharma who was sitting on fast until death demanding cancellation of public hearing for Fatehpur coal mine from 10th January. After arrest of Mr Sharma an 18 years old young boy Anmol Agrawal is continuing the fast. Local media is not giving adequate coverage. They also demand implementation of forest rights.
