Ramkailash Kol says the on 8th day of Land rights Cycle Yatra of Kol Adivasi prerna Abhiyan has reached village Ghuman in Jaba block of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh. He finds out that the 100 Kol adivasi families there got land deeds in 1980 and 2000 from the govt but they have not got possession of the lands. They also do not have any ration cards from last 15 years. Old are not getting pension. There is not enough food in anganwadi. They will start an agitation from 15th Nov. Govt breaks Adivasi houses in MP without notice in the middle of monsoon!
My name is Ramkailash Kol. I am calling from Kol Adivasi Adhikar Abhiyan in Jaba in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. Here in the middle of monsoon administration has demolished houses of Kol adivasis. They were not given any notices.Please listen to these adivasis who tell that they got no notices and only a survey was done. Local administration and police are behind the demolition. Tribals waiting possission of their legal land from 12 years
Ramkailash Kol is telling about 300 Kol adivaisis in Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh who got land deeds for their agriculture land in 2000 but are yet to get the possession for the same land. Revenue officer vanishes after taking bribe from adivasis
Ramkailash Kol from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh says a Patwari ( Revenue officer) took Rs 1000 each from 36 adivasi farmers in 2008 promising measurement of their land but so far nothing has taken place and now that officer has also retired. The adivasis went to police to file a complaint but they did not listen. They have gone to many officials and some have sent officials to inspect but the adivasis are yet to get any relief.
