Adivasi girls discontinue education for lack of hostels...
Bhanvarlal Meena from Udaipur district of Rajasthan says adivasi girls in the area are not getting higher education because they need to travel outside for the same, which is inconvenient. Residential hostel for adivasi girls will solve this problem and they have discussed it with local officials and people’s representatives, but that has not resulted in any positive outcome so far. NREGA: officials justify half payment saying rest is for them...
Pannalal Gamethi is a Bhil tribal boy from Udaipur. He is narrating the reality of life for them. He says I studied with great difficulty while working as a laborer and passed BA but the private school I teach does not give him full payment. In anganvadis tribal children are discriminated. Tribal women are misbehaved in shops. They get half the wages in NREGA and officials justify it by saying rest of the money is for them.
