Ramji is calling from village Jampani, post Lilasi, block Meherpur, tehsil Duddhi in Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh and says hand pumps were installed in their village in 1988 but has not been repaired since. It throws dirty water and villagers are forced to drink the same. Anantrao Govardhan is calling from Narsala village in Maregaon tahsil of Yavatmal district in Maharashtra and says 20 of them are working in NREGA where they get half wages. He says officers want them to stop work so they can get work done by machine. They have complained in helpline and also to officers but no action. Lekhram Yadav is calling from Gadiya village, Chandariya panchayat in Bichhiya block of Mandla district in MP where village women tell him that 20 Baiga Adivasi families live here but their only a hand pump is broken from long. They are forced to drink water from stream which is more than a km away and are falling ill. This was complained to officials but no one listens.
