Baiju Prajapati is calling from Salgi village of Jirwakhurd panchayat in Semaria block of Chatra district in Jharkhand. He says if it does not rain in 10 days all their wells will dry. They have a hand pump which gives water for few hours. There is a hand pump in school but that is waiting for repair. Children are going to a well. All ponds are dry and animals are suffering. Jagdish from Rewa MP says we reported on Swara about water pumps from Public health and Engineering dept being broken and some mechanics visited and repaired some hand pumps. But after that on 11th June the department has issued a press note saying all pumps are repaired.
