Water is hardly available and repairing the tank would be beneficial. 70 Adivasi families live here and Several appeals to Water dept did not help. Panchhu Maravi is calling from forest village Indira in tahsil Bichhia of Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh and says in this village 74 people got their first installment of Indira Awas houses under Forest Rights but are still waiting for rest of the installments. Some have borrowed from market to complete their houses. Some houses have got destroyed in rain. Collector promised but that was not materialized. Vaid Dr HD Gandhi from Chhattisgarh says all parts of Mahua tree( (Madhuca longifolia) is useful especially flowers. Tribals use Mahua flowers as a health energizer by making sweet/laddu. For making sweet/laddu coarse grind 250 gms Mahua, 250 gms Tamarind, 250 gms Sal (Shorea robusta) seeds and add 250 gms Jaggery to it to hand roll medium lemon sized laddus( sweet).
