Fertilizer is useful only if supplied in time, says Bastar farmer
Tulsi Ram Nag from village Narna district Bastar in Chhattisgarh wants officials to ensure timely distribution of fertilizer for the rice crop. He says the farmers did not get subsidized fertilizer last year as well and they are still struggling to pay their due loans. He requests us to call society manager Sukram Markam at 091656 83324 to ensure timely distribution of subsidized fertilizers to farmers.

Confiscated smuggled Teak in Bastar: Just tip of the iceberg
Afzal Khan from Bhopalpatnam in the border of Chhattisgarh adn Andhra Pradesh says this weel forest depatment has captured some trucks of teak and have also arrested some smugglers but this is just the tip of the iceberg. He says in the border between AP and Chhattisgarh huge amount of teak is getting smuggled and forest department is only checking the area near to villages. They say they do not have enough staff. People of Bastar have reconsiled to regular Maoist bandh calls
Pramod Potai from Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh says once again Moaists have announced a bandh on 21-22nd May and have burnt a truck carrying stones for road construction in Narayanpur -Orchha road in Abujhmad. He says there is an atmosphere of terror here but it seems people of Bastar have accepted this destiny. Police harasses tribal woman activist in Bastar
Bhan Sahu is reporting about harassment of a tribal woman activist called Jaya in Bastar who works on the issue of domestic violence and other social issues in tribal villages. On the day of Rakhi police in plain clothes arrived at Jaya’s house and tried to intimidate her. Bhan says it looks any woman who comes out of her house to work on social issues is seen as anti social in the eyes of the government
