Nathulal Rathod is calling from Dhamedi village in Pushprajgarh block of Anuppur district in Madhya Pradesh. Patti Maravi, a villager from that village tells him that there is no electricity in their village for as long as 50 years now. Hand pumps were installed but don’t function. In their Dumatola mohalla about 35 families are forced to live in the dark. Also they fetch water from 1 kilometer distance. Ruplal Maravi has reached Mahuaripara under Dandkava village and panchayat in Pratappur of Surajpur district in Chhattisgarh and talking to Dharampal who tells him that elephant demolished two of their homes and ate food. They are living under the tree. Sarpanch gave him 10 kg rice but it is not enough. Forest dept and local administration hasn’t helped yet. They want compensation and help for remaking their houses.
