Bastar journalists complete foot march protesting murder of two colleagues...

Mangal Kunjam is calling from Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh where Journalists have completed a foot march which started on 26th January from Abujhmaad area. He says this march was in protest of murder of two journalists by Naxals last year. Journalists are being pressurized by both sides. No Naxals came forward to meet the journalists during the march. March in Bastar to understand villagers views to resolve problem of violence...

Hari Singh Sidar from Lanjora village in Kondagaon district in Chhattisgarh is telling us about a march of Journalists and social activists. The march will start on 26th January from Orchha in Abujhmarh area and will culminate on 30th January in Bijapur after covering 150 kms. 78 people have confirmed their participation. Traditional healing knowledge of Bastar must be preserved and promoted...

Mastram from Bundelkhand is attending a 3 days meeting of traditional healers in Masora village in Bastar, Chhattisgarh and says he was amazed with the knowledge of traditional healers which is slowly disappearing. He says this age old knowledge needs to be preserver for betterment of humanity. He saw some examples of curing difficult diseases with almost no expenditure. Bastar is surviving because of healers, herbs, who now need help to survive

Mohan Ji is talking to Mr Sodi a Traditional healer from Kondagaon district in Chhattisgarh. He says Traditional healers from entire Bastar region has assembled in 3 day meeting to think on future strategy to save herbs and Traditional healers. He says Bastar is surviving because of its Traditional healers. But with reducing forest, herbs are also disappearing.
