Balram Padoki from Nagri in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh is telling us about Gondi religion. He says Gondi is nature centric religion, not God centric. Gonds are divided in 750 gotras. These Gotras are based on trees and animals. People representing these Gotras work to save those specific trees and animals. The mantra of Gondi religion is Seva or service to community. Mangal Kunjam is telling us in Gondi that Maoist attacked 11 D mines of National Mineral Development Corporation Dantewada yesterday and destroyed machines and vehicles. They ran away when security forces fired at them. Maoists left posters saying they this activity was part of their protest against Govt policy to help corporates at the cost of environment and displacing people. Theyhad called for a strike in Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on 5th and 6th to protest such policies.

People from 11 villages use the connecting road here which is three and half kilometer long but is in such a bad condition that it is difficult to even ply a two wheeler.
