Rooplal Marawi is visiting Bonga village in Pratappur block of Surajpur district in Chhattisgarh where he meets wife of Hari Pando s/o Ramkishun, a primitive tribal whose house was broken by a herd of elephants in February. Officers have visited them but they are yet to get any compensation. Their house is in bad shape in rains and she says elephants had eaten grains and cash. Nandlal Yadav is calling from Sevra village in Gram Panchayat Guri in Vishrampur block of Palamu district in Jharkhand and says a hand pump was dug in their village 9 months ago but the head of the pump has not been fitted yet. Villagers had also collected Rs 3000 for the hand pump. When they talk to higher officers they say they have instructed village but he says otherwise.
