Forest officials cheating adivasis and forcing them to work
Hem Singh Markam an adivasi from Kabirdham district says a forest ranger came to our village and told us that if we went with him to forest to do some work he will give us deeds for land. 30 of us went with him but he now refuses to fulfil his promise. Not only that he has filed a police case against us. The number of the ranger is 9424112377. It seems the forest officials are now planning to throw us out of our land. Please help. 2000 trees been cut near our village, please punish the guilty
Jainendra Singh Porte from village Ghatberra in Udaypur block of Surguja district of Chhattisgarh says that we have stopped forest cutting work in the forest near our village which was going on without permission of Gram Sabha. They have cut more than 2000 trees in the forest. The people of the village have decided that they will not allow any taking over of land without the permission of the Gram Sabha. No action on complaints about irregularities in NREGA
Chandra Pratap Singh from Semaria in Bilaspur district in Chhattisgarh is giving details of NREGA work where people have not worked but they have been shonw as being paid in the muster roll. He gives three examples from 2010-11 with names, Job card number and Jon number with dates. He says they have complained to authorities including collector but no action has been taken so far. Tadmetla: All development funds used but no development!
My name is Manish Singh. I am a journalist. Today I went to Tadmetla, in Konta block of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh. Everyone now knows about Tadmetla. Poeple in Tadmetla told me that their village secretary and concerned officers have taken out all the money earmarked for the village in the name of development projects but they have not got any help from last 7 years. Handicap association to raise non implemetation of laws
Hem Singh Markam from Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh says he wants to eastablish a platform for handicapped people. He says gvt of India passed laws for handicapped people in 1995 and it was also published in Govt regulations in 1996 but those rights are not given to the handicapped people.
