Govt wants to displace us to make dam, We are very worried, We oppose it...

Govt has decided to make a dam which will inundate 15 villages. Traditional midwives facing problem of livelihood, Govt deals only with ASHA

Brijesh Singh from Rewa in MP is reporting live from a demonstration of traditional midwives (Dais) who say that earlier they used to get paid when they helped in delivery or brought pregnant women to hospitals. They were also trained by Govt but now Govt deals only with Asha (Accredited Social Health Activists ) and traditional midwives are not allowed inside hospitals and are facing a problem of livelihood.
