Ramgopal Verma, a farmer from Karahiya village in Dadh Panchayat in Tyothar tehsil of Rewa district in MP says last year his both crops were destroyed but he has not got any compensation. He alleges that people who paid bribe have got compensation but poor like him are still waiting and their names are not there on the list though revenue inspector visited and promised. Jagdish Yadav from Rewa MP says I have been hearing many messages about land issues of landless on CGnet. I want to tell you about a law in MP which was passed on 4th Sept 2012 and says anyone who lives on Govt land from before 31st Dec 2011 can get a deed for up to 5 decimal. An order no F-16-2/2012 was sent to all collectors on 26/9/12 by letter no 94918 instructing the same. Please contact your Tehsildar to get your land deeds. JM Rangeela is visiting Tenughat Power plant in Lalpania area of Gumia block of Bokaro district in Jharkhand and meeting displaced families who lost their land to the power plant in 1979. They say 1900 acre of land from 8 villages were taken for the plant but only around half of them have got promised job and there are lots of problems in jobs they got.
