Govt hospital for Bidi workers in Rewa MP have no doctor, workers suffering
Ram Singh Chourasia president of Bidi Mazdoor Sangh says there are more than 60,000 bidi workers in the district but the Govt hospital for them have no doctor and the workers are suffering. Central Govt has sent Rs 2 crore for the welfare of workers but due to negligence of local administration that money is on verge of going back. Midwives getting impatient with Govt who is not listening to their demands...
Brijesh Singh from Rewa in MP is talking to traditional midwives who are getting impatient with Govt who is not yielding to their demands. The midwives dont get any support from Govt when they help in childbirth in villages. When they bring mother to hospital they get Rs 250 that too after making rounds of officials which goes in their travel only. They demand they should be treated like health workers.
