We worked to construct roads in January under National Employment Guarantee Act but are still waiting for our wages says villagers from Dhumadand village in Pratappur block of Surajpur district in Chhattisgarh to Shivlal. They say they first approached the village level officers who promised to give payment in few days but nothing happened. Since then they are going to block officers but no help yet. Our Anganwadi handpump was broken from more than 4 months. Small children were suffering. We applied everywhere starting from our panchayat to the district level and were tired but no one helped. Then we recorded a message on CGnet Swara and then many listeners called our Collector and BDO and now I am happy to share that our handpump got repaired last week and all of us villagers are very happy.
