Narsingh Chouhan and other farmers who were displaced by Jobat dam in Alirajpur district in MP and have been farming on Govt land in Bedla village from 3 years say Govt is again trying to evacuate them from this land. Govt has showed them land which is occupied by people. This year Govt also gave them electricity connection and they paid Rs 26,000 for 3 motors and now Govt has cut the connection. My name is Charan Singh Parte. I am calling from Mawai block of Mandla district of MP. In our area Baiga adivasis do not have land deeds on the land they have been working for ages. After Forest Rights act officials have given land deeds for one or one and half acre of land to them without visiting the area. Forest dept now are throwing them out by force.
