They say earlier they were given Rs 600 per child birth but now they are promoting only ASHA workers. They say villagers get more support from traditional midwives and not ASHA. Charan Singh Parte is visiting Pandaria in Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh where hundreds of Baiga adivasis are sitting on a 2 day dharna protesting proposed Tiger corridor connecting Kanha, Bhoramdev and Achanakmar sanctuaries in MP and Chhattisgarh. They suspect 400-800 adivasis villages will be affected by the corridor and will destroy many adivasis lives. After the agitation they are planning to give a memorandum to Governor. Charan Singh Parte walking with Bhu Adhikar Yatra has reached Jhagbhatti village in Gram Panchayat Bhimdongri in Mawai block of Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh today.
