Organized corruption in paddy procurement in Chhattisgarh

Prakash Gupta from Chhattisgarh is telling us about an organized corruption in Paddy procurement in Surguja district. He says the mandis are charging around Rs 4025 per 100 quintal of buying on various fraudulent excuses. One can imagine the extent of corruption when the total buy is more than 150 lakh tonne in the district. FRA: Sarpanch's "fruad" not investigated after complaint

Request to help save blackbuck and also agriculture...

Amulya Upadhyay is president of Blackbuck conservation society in Ganjam district of Odisha. He says due to their efforts the number of Blackbuck has grown from 400 to more than 2000. But with increasing number of blackbuck it is causing problem in agriculture. He says Govt should help farmers with irrigation so that they have more crop and blackbucks can also survive as it is the only place in India where blackbucks are found in such a number. NREGA: work by machine but money taken out for people

Prakash Gupta from Sarguja, Chhattisgarh says that instead of villagers, machines are being used to do work under MNREGA. A false muster has been created and the officials and bank employees for 65 workers and have siphoned off Rs 1.65 laks whereas the entire work was done by machines. Students do not want to go to school in fear of beatings
