Handpump unsuccessful, forest dept doesn't allow to fetch water from forest...
Ashok Sarathe is traveling with CGNet Swara Citizen Journalism Awareness Yatra has reached Madnapur village in Maregaon tehsil of Yavatmal district in Maharashtra where adivasi villagers tell him that handpump is not successful in their village but there is enough water in forest but forest dept does not allow them. Forest dept rejected 2/3rd Gram Sabha recommendations on Forest Rights...
Naresh Bunkar is visiting Bhangitola village under Polmi Panchayat in Pandariya block of Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh where Baiga adivasis tell him that names of 33 of them were sent by Gram Panchayat for forest rights act land deeds in 2013 but forest dept has rejected 22 of them (which is against the rule). Living on forest land from 2001, no forest right, forest dept planted eucalyptus...
Naresh Bunkar is visiting Sajankhar village under Polmi Panchayat in Pandariya block of Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh where villagers tell him that 30 Baiga and Gond Adivasi families are living in forest land from 2001 but Forest Development Corporation planted Eucalyptus in 2011.
