ग्रामीण इलाकों में रहने वाले ज्यादातर गरीब लोग लोग अकुशल, दिहाड़ी,शारीरिक मजदूरी से मिलने वाली मजदूरी पर आश्रित रहते है| वे अकसर न्यूनतम साधनों से अपना गुजारा करते हैं और गहन गरीबी की निरंतल आशंका में जीते हैं| श्रम की अपर्याप्त मांग तथा प्राकृतिक आपदा अथवा बीमारी जैसे अनपेक्षित संकट,ये सभी उनके रोजगार अवसरों पर बहुत बुरा असर डालते हैं | विकसित और विकासशील देशों में गरीबी और बेरोजगारी से निपटने के लिए ऐसे रोजगार कार्यक्रम बहुत लंबे से काफी महत्वपूर्ण रहे हैं | इन कार्यक्रमों में सिचाई,वृक्षारोपण,जल संरक्षण एवं सड़क निर्माण जैसी सार्वजनिक परियोजनाओं में सीमित अवधि के लिए अकुशल शारीरिक श्रम मुहैया कराया जाता हैं |

Today Rachit Sharma and Ramesh Kunjam are helping us listen to songs and reports from all parts of Central tribal India through their latest edition of Blutooth radio program from Bijapur in Hindi and Gondi. Villagers use their mobile phones to record these songs and reports. They call 08050068000 to record. Now this program can be downloaded by people from their Gram Panchayat office if it has Broadband or from a download centre nearby. They can also get it from someone with smartphone and internet via bluetooth.

Mangal Kunjam has met with relatives of Hunga an adivasi from Bade Gudra village in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. Hunga was arrested few weeks back from local traditional healer’s house. His pregnant wife Hurre was badly beaten when she tried to get Hunga back from police. Hurre gave birth to a boy. But due to police beating there were complications and Hurre died in Jagdalpur hospital today leaving her child behind. They have one more child who is at home. Hunga is in jail. Mangal@7389032274
