Hemant Kashyap from Dantewada in Chhattisarh says there is a village called Pondum just 15 kms away from district headquarter where 55 children are getting only rice and salt in their mid day meal since the new education session has started from 16th June. Being so near to Dantewada town newspapers have also written about it and government has taken some action against two of its employees but till today the children are forced to eat same rice and salt and situation for them has not changed. Raju Rana from Semaria block of Chatra district of Jharkhand is telling us about bad situation of mid day meal for students in village school. The quality of food is so bad that recently children refused to eat. When a para teacher objected he was harassed. When Raju tried to take up the case he was also threatened. Vipin Mishra from Raigarh says in his area a supplier of mid day meal to school also run a illegal liquor shop in the same locality. He does not supply food to children according to govt prescribed menu and complaints to government toll free number for PDS has not made any difference. Jeet Kumar, a student is reporting from Navin Government School in Jamul, Bhilai that his school has started a new system of getting food packets from outside for Mid day meal for students which is of very low quality. He says when they found insects in the food for continuous three days they protested and now have a meeting with the authorities to sort this out. He says they demand return to the old system where mid day meal was cooked in the school
