Revenue officer vanishes after taking bribe from adivasis
Ramkailash Kol from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh says a Patwari ( Revenue officer) took Rs 1000 each from 36 adivasi farmers in 2008 promising measurement of their land but so far nothing has taken place and now that officer has also retired. The adivasis went to police to file a complaint but they did not listen. They have gone to many officials and some have sent officials to inspect but the adivasis are yet to get any relief. Handpumps in adivasi areas not working for many months
Ramkailash Kol from in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh says many handpumps in adivasi areas in his village are not working for many months now but complaints do not work. Adivasis given land papers but no possession in 10 years!
Ram Kailash Kol says Kol Adivasis in District Rewa in Madhya Pradesh were allotted land for farming in 2001-02 however the possession has not been handed over to them yet. In spite of follow up, writing to the Chief Minister through the Tehsil office, the Kols are unable to find relief and make use of the government schemes for them.
