Bimal Labore from Kolhan area of West Singhbhim district of Jharkhand says Govt is doing survey of villages for Lime stone mining without consultation of Gram Sabhas. In some villages they have marked the areas to be mined. 3000 people came out in protest against it and gave a protest letter in name of Governor to local SDO. Prakash Oraon from village Newari in Latehar district of Jharkhand says that people in his village are protesting against work of TCML ( A joint venture of Hindalco and Tata Power) from a week but the company is contuning their work. He alleges that for breaking the people’s resistance company is using brokers who are supplying liquor and other intoxicating stuff to people in the village.
