Shivanand Dwivedi is calling from Kaitha village in Mangava tehsil of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh and says many legal and illegal mines are active within 250 meters of forest zone in Barahat, Kankad, Pangadi and other villages which are near forest. No mid-day meal from months, children sell forest produce, don't go school...
Santosh Verma is calling from Katva village in Itkhori block of Chatra district in Jharkhand and talking to Sarpanch Sanichar Oraon who tells him that Birhor Adivasi and Dalit people live here and their children are not getting food under mid-day meal from months and subsidized food-grain is not regular. 31 of us applied for Forest Rights but only 8 got land deeds, rest still waiting...
31 of us filled claim form under forest right in 2006 but only 8 have got lease and remaining people are still waiting.This was complained to officials many times but no one is paying attention though authorities visited the area say villagers of Targuda village under Kuhka panchayat in Etapally tehsil of Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra in Gondi to Shivlal Usendi. Out of 35 only 15 adivasi families got deed under Forest Rights, rest waiting...
Umeshwari Dugga is calling from Bedmagarh village under Dindwi panchayat in Etapally tehsil of Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra and talking to villagers who tell her in their Gondi language that 35 Adivasi families live here from long and have filled claim form under forest rights act but only 15 of them have got lease rest are still waiting though authorities had measured the land twice 2 years back.
