Yogendra Singh Urre from Surguja Chhattisgarh says we need to think why we are facing so many droughts in country. According to him tree cutting by Forest department and locals is the main reason for this drought. He says forest department plants only commercial plants some of which generates more heat and kills local smaller varieties of plants. Jagdish Yadav is talking to Dinanath Adivasi who has created Prem Van a forest in 105 acres in Dhurkuchh forest village near Dabhaura in Rewa in 25 years. Forest officers only harassed him he says when he got water from a kilometer from a well. This year Amla trees have got some disease and he is looking for help but is not getting any. Govt is supposed to give him some support but the file is not moving from 2 years. Still there is no facility of water and he is looking for support. Jagdish@7224031806

Jagdish is telling that in Madhya Pradesh Govt is running a special drive for people who have not filled their form under forest rights act till 30th April. Please go to your Gram Sabha, get a form for free and give it to secretary. You have right to claim upto 10 acres if you lived on the land before 13th Dec 2005. Non adivasis need to give proof of living from 75 years. You will also get right to collect minor forest produce from forest, fishing and grazing.
