Prakash Gupta from Surguja district of Chhattisgarh is suggesting farmers to adopt drip irrigation. It is worrying that underground water level is going down. By drip irrigation one can save water upto 80% and also double production. It is more beneficial for vegetable farming. A thin pipe line laid down on the farm which is connected with tube well or other sources of water reaches plants through tiny holes. Praksh Gupta is calling from Sarguja district of Chhattisgarh and suggesting to farmers to adopt organic farming. The state’s large population is dependent on agriculture for their livelihood but they are not getting profit from their crops because chemical fertilizers are insecticides are expensive so they should try to use organic method of farming like compost.
