Today Mohan Yadav has reached village Mendhakheda, a forest village in Betul district in MP where he meets Jugan Pandram, a Gondi speaking farmers who tells him that they have 70 families in the village, 65 are adivasis. Their hand pump is broken and they are forced to drink dirty water from stream and are falling ill. They hardly ever get electricity but bill is regular. Adivasi women self help group grow nursery in Govt land, example for many
Mohan Yadav Ji is visiting Devpur Kotmi village in Betul district in Madhya Pradesh where he meets Janpad Panchayat member Sumrat Singh Ji who tells him in his Gondi language that 40 adivasi members of a women’s self help group have grown a nursery in 50 hectare Govt land and have become an example for other. Diwali is long over in rest of India but Mohan Yadav is visiting Tangnamal village in Shahpur block of Betul district in Madhya Pradesh where Adivasis today are celebrating their last function of Diwali. Thousands of people from many nearby villages are visiting and people are singing, dancing, playing flute. He says it is an amazing scene. Many accidents with pregnant women due to bad roads in MP Adivasi areas
Mohan Yadav is visiting Sivni-Malwa area in Hoshangabad district in MP and meets an adivasi social activist Sangeeta who tells him in her Gondi language that the situation of women and children is very bad in the area who are all malnourished. The road condition is very bad and there has been many accidents with pregnant women. In many villages roads are non existent. She says Govt should look at these two issues of road and malnutrition. Adivasi elected leaders only think about themselves and not the community
Mohan Yadav is in Ramgarhi area in Chhindwara district in MP where he meets Adivasi social activist Ramgulam Uike amidst noisy election campaign for vidhan sabha elections. He asks Uike Ji that adivasis of state will elect 47 adivasis as MLAs then why is their situation so bad?
