Baigas use 12 seeds together in Bewar farming, If one fails another survive

Mohan Yadav is visiting village Pachwar in Baiga Chak area in Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh where he meet Kunwar Singh who is explaining him Bewar farming. Kunwar Singh tells him that they mix 12 seeds and in one acre he can get 4 to 7 sacks of grain which can keep his family alive after some labor work outside. Govt work is done by machines, We are forced to migrate in search of work...

Mohan Yadav is visiting Nainpur tahsil in Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh where he meets Gondi speaking farmer Gyani Singh Varkade who tells him that he has only once acre of land and there is no facility of irrigation in the area. All the Govt work in the area is being done by machines and they have no option but to migrate in search of work. He also does not have a BPL card. We can't leave our land & traditional shifting cultivation, says Baiga adivasi...

Mohan Yadav is visiting Garjan Bija village in Pushparajgarh tahsil of Anuppur district in Madhya Pradesh where he meets a adivasi farmer Chhagru Baiga who tells him that Bewar ( shifting) farming where they mix 6-7 seeds together is more suitable to them. They have not got rights under forest rights act and Govt wants them to move but they dont want to go anywhere else and continue with traditional way of farming which they learnt from their ancestors. No compensation for crop destroyed by animals,Tribals geting ready to fight

Mohan Yadav is visiting Bhua Bichhia block of Mandla district in Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh where he meets Tameshwar Dharia from Bisketta village who tells him that wild animals destroy their crop quite often but forest department does not give them any compensation.
