Mohd Ainul Ansari from Coal mines area in Dhanbad Jharkhand today is talking to Co-operative leader Mohd Gaffar Ansari who tells him that as per government and national Human rights commssion instruction they formed a co-operative 15 years ago but still Coal India is not giving work to local unemployed youth who are part of the co-operative. He describes the story of their struggle and tells all the names of the leaders they have visited but have got no help. Mohd Ainul Ansari from Dhanbad is telling us the story of his district which is known as the Coal capital of the country. He says people of his district had land, forest and water but they gave it in the name of development of the nation. In return they have got pollution and water crisis. To solve water crisis of 22 villages a water scheme was inaugurated by CM in 2003. More than 4 crores have been spend on the project but the villagers are still waiting for water after 8 years thought the CM had promised it will be completed in a year. Sachdev Gupta from Mainpat block of Surguja district in Chhattisgarh says there was a NREGA work in his area which completed three months back but workers have not got any wages. They are running from pillar to post and are getting only empty assurances. He says there are other cases of non payment where people worked in NREGA and but are yet to be paid for over a year now.
