Many district officers also participated including District Education Officer Mr Shastri who said it is most important for Adivasi community to educate their children and if that is done in their language that will be important. P Paparao is calling from Tummala village, Chintur mandal, Khammam district, Andhra Pradesh and says in his Adivasi Gondi language that I reported on Adivasi Swara last month about broken water tank and pipeline in our village. Todasam Devrao from Girijan Adivasi Sanstha Utnoor mandal Adilabad distict of Telangana is telling that they are going to start education to learn Gondi script in 15 primary schools with the help of Integrated Tribal Development Agency. This is an old Gondi script which was in use in this area from a long time. Professors from various universities have assembled in Utnoor to start the process in these schools.
