Sanjay Sharma from Pampapur village in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh reports that some Below Poverty Live families got 25 kilo of subsidized ration last month instead of 35 in Public Distribution System ( PDS). As it has been repoeted in the past that Pitbasu’s son Santosh died in hospital in want of blood when he was still looking for his wages of 100 days work. The payment was made on 20th January but Sanjay says according to NREGA laws if a paayment is delayed by more than a fortnight state government needs to pay compensation.
