He says till 15 years back ponds were in good shape and had helped keep area green. But in last few years with encroachment in catchment area ponds are in bad shape. Dr Devendra Srivastava from Bundelkhand Buniyadi Adhikar manch in Panna in Madhya Pradesh is telling that wages under NREGA are very late and workers are not keen to work for that reason. He says in Fatehpur district of UP NREGA money was used to revive an old river. Similar work should be done in Panna to revive Kilkila river and other water bodies. A public hearing was supposed to take place here on 24th about proposed Nuclear power plant which people were protesting because they were not given information in Hindi.
