Officials asking for Rs 5000 bribe to help with Indira Awas, School certificate
My name is Upendra Burman. I am calling from Gondra village in Kotma thana of district Anuppur in Madhya Pradesh. I need a Karmakand certificate from my Panchayat for school admission of my child. I also need Indira Awas house as I do not have a house and live in someone else’s land. Children learn faster if taught in their Adivasi language, says Adivasi teacher
Pradeep is visiting Rani Kajal school in Kakrana village in Alirajpur district in MP where an adivasi teacher tells him that they educate Adivasi children in their Bhili language and they learn faster that way. The students of the school have regenerated a forest in 50 hectare with villagers in last 20 years. Impact: Collector promises School, Anganwadi after hearing Swara report...
Naresh Bunkar from Pandaria block in Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh says on 30th November I had reported on Swara saying that in Gabhoda village in Birhuldih school and Anganwadi is not functioning and children are also not getting mid-day meal. On 7th Dec Collector Mr Dayanand called me that after elections he will visit the village himself to inspect and will make sure that school and anganwadi functions.He will also punish culprits. Teacher comes once a week, Often so drunk, pisses while sitting on chair...
Anil Bamne says today I visited village Bamni near Achanakmar tiger reserve in Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh and was shocked to see the bad condition of local school. The parents told him that the teacher comes only once a week and when he comes he is always drunk. He is so drunk that often he pisses sitting on his chair. What can one expect from such teacher. School for adivasi children have no hand pump though sanctioned 3 yrs ago
Naresh Bunkar from Pandaria block in Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh is telling us about Primary school in Tangar village of Sendurkhar panchayat. The school has 2 teachers and 42 Baiga adivasi children. The teachers come to school regularly but school does not have a hand pump though it was sanctioned 3 years ago.
