Health center servers 52 villages but has no doctor!
Kailash Male from Badia Koyal in district Ratlam of Madhya Pradesh says there is a Govt Primary health center in his village which servers people from 52 villages but these days has no doctor. There are two posts of the doctors but the only one appointed does duty in the nearby town. In absense of doctor many quacks are misguiding people. Adivasis given land papers but no possession in 10 years!
Ram Kailash Kol says Kol Adivasis in District Rewa in Madhya Pradesh were allotted land for farming in 2001-02 however the possession has not been handed over to them yet. In spite of follow up, writing to the Chief Minister through the Tehsil office, the Kols are unable to find relief and make use of the government schemes for them. Tribals walk for days to reach but officers are rarely present
Kailash Sahu from Lanjigarh in Kalahandi district of Odisha says this is an adivasi block and officers are rarely found in the offices here. There is not much communication facility in the area. So Adivasis walk for 40-50 kms which takes them one or two days to reach the block headquarters but officers are rarely available. Officers say they do not have enough residential quarters. Peaceful protest against illegal mining needs your help
Kailash Meena from Sikar district of Rajasthan is reporting about ongoing protest against illegal mining. He says the farmers are sitting on peaceful dharna from 5th April. on 19th police tried to break the agitation by force, then on 4th May arrested 12 people including 6 women. They were illegally kept in jail for 2 days before being charged with unbailable offences. People have started hunger fast since and some of them are in bad situation.
