Raju from Udaipur Rajasthan says I had called yesterday in Swara to tell that a Mrityubhoj ( feast in death ceremony) is taking place in my village under pressure from our caste panchayat. Thanks to the calls made by Swara friends SDM sent the policemen to the venue but said they can not stop the function legally. Raju from Khetarkheda village, Vallabhnagar tahsil in Udaipur district Rajasthan is telling that his uncle died 10 days ago and his Khap(caste) panchayat is forcing them to give a feast ( Mrityu Bhoj) which is illegal. They are poor and will have to sell land for the feast. They have complained to officials but they dont help.
