Maya Ram Sarpanch from Sarpani village in Gram Panchayat Chhindi block Pandaria, Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh says 4 out of 5 hand pumps are not working in his village and 80 adivasi families are forced to go down 2 kms down the hills to fetch drinking water from a dirty nullah. Naresh Bunkar from Kabirdham district in Chhattisgarh says on 2nd December 2013 I had reported on Swara saying that there is no drinking water facility in school in Saitola of Bangar panchayat in Pandaria block. Officials have sent a report to capital Raipur saying there is a hand pump in Bangar school. Saroj Paraste is calling from Kundam block in Jabalpur district in Madhya Pradesh and says there is a Adivasi village Paraghat 42 kms from city, which has a Gundlah Tola basti which has 36 Gond adivasi families but they dont have any hand pump. Mohan Yadav is visiting Dharampuri village in Sajapali panchayat in Dharamjaigarh tahsil of Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh where he talks to Pando adivasi women who tell him that they have 60 families in the village but dont have any hand pump. They drink dirty water from an open well, digging ditches and are falling ill. There is a river next to village which is flooded in rains and they can not cross. They also want a bridge and road.
