Naresh Bunkar visited Rajak village of 110 Baiga adivasi families Digha Panchayat Lormi Block Mungeli district Chhattisgarh and says out of 6 handpumps in the village 2 are broken from 4 months. The village is on a mountain in Achanakmar tiger reserve buffer area where residents are forced to drink dirty nullah water. He says the hand pump near the village school is broken and children are suffering. One more handpump in Mahuaripara( Uparpara) throws dirty red water which is not drinkable. Suraj Jamra is calling from Bardali village of Sondwa block in Alirajpur district in Madhya Pradesh and talking to villagers who say that they had reported on Swara requesting a platform at a handpump next to their school. As there was no platform dirty water was soaking inside the handpump. Following the report officers have responded and a platform is built now. Naresh Bunkar is calling from Telaidabra village of Chhaparwa Panchayat, Lormi block, Mungeli district in Chhattisgarh, saying that in this Baiga Adivasi village, four hand pumps were broken. The villagers recorded a message on CGNet Swara in September and thereafter the PHE department responded and repaired all the hand pumps within two weeks.
