Bamboo artisans not getting good rate in market, urge for Govt intervention...

Dilip Jaiswal is visiting Jamuni village in Dhaurpur area of Surguja district in Chhattisgarh and is talking to some people from Basor tribe who make various items from bamboo for their livelihood. They tell him that their situation is very bad as the products they made are sold in very small money. It is very difficult to get bamboo and that is very expensive. Dilip Jaiswal is visiting Kharagavan village in Surajpur district in Chhattisgarh and is talking to farmers who say rain is less than 1/4th of the normal and they are not able to work on the farms. It is raining everywhere else in the country but the situation is bad in Surguja area in North Chhattisgarh. Another farmer says I have taken so much loan to buy seed and fertiliser. किसान स्वर: परवल की खेती से किसान हुए अमीर पर जंगल हलाकान...

Dilip Jaiswal from Dhandhapur village of Balrampur district in Chhattisgarh is telling us about a problem in farming of vegetable known as Parwal in local area( Trichosanthes dioica). This vegetable is grown in area from last decade which has made many farmers rich but it is destroying forest. Farmers cut twigs from trees to give support to climb this creeper like plant which has harmed forest in the area. Forest and Agri dept has not been able to check it who should find a way out. Mining trucks have destroyed our roads, It's so dusty here that difficult to walk...

Saraswati Sinha is a Social activist and is calling from Shetpat village and panchayat in Mohala tehsil of Rajnandgaon district in Chhattisgarh. She says the roads in the area are destroyed because of trucks of mining companies who ply on the road all the time.It is so dusty that it is difficult to walk.
