She speaks to one Ekta Parishad activist working in the area who tells her that many Saharia adivasis have also got land deeds but influential people do not allow them to farm in those lands rather many adivasis are working as bonded laboers in the same land which they own. After starting on 2nd October in Kanyakumari Jan Satyagraha samvad Yatra of Ekta Parishad has reached Chambal area in Madhya Pradesh after covering half of the country. Children are malnourished and none of the schools open for more than few hours. Women are forced to deliver at home as hospitals are in bad shape. She says when they raised the issue of forest rights 8 of them were put in jail by naming them Naxals, 32 adivasis were beaten up.
