Bhan Sahu is visiting a group of 230 adivasis in Uttar Pradesh who for a change do not have any problem from forest department officials. She tells us that whichever state I go to adivasis are getting evicted from forest and they are not able to do farming on the land they should get land deeds for. But here she meets an adivasi who tells her that they got organised under National forestdweller and forest workers organisation and thanks to their unity no official ever harasses them and they have also filled the forms to get deeds for the land they are cultivating. Bhan Sahu is visiting Manikpur in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh where adivasis and dalits took out a rally to demand proper implementation of Forest Rights Act. She speaks to a dalit who tells her that though the act was passed in 2006 but it still remains to be implemented in these adivasi areas of UP. Adivasis from bordering Rewa distrct of Madhya Pradesh also took part in the rally and said they are facing similar issues and forest department is also harassing them there though they are using the same forest lands from generations. Bhan Sahu traveling with Jan Satyagraha Samvad Yatra of Ekta Parishad has now reached Indore district of Madhya Pradesh where she meets agitated farmers who are protesting take over of their land by the government. He says we have gone to all the administrative officials and political leaders but no one helps. Farmers do not want to give land at any cost but government is still taking away land. Bhan Sahu traveling with Jan Satyagraha Samvad yatra of Ekta Parishad has reached a village in Guna district where he meets a Saharia adivasi Munna Bhai who works as a bonded labor. Munna bhai tells her that more than half villages in the district have bonded labors. Munna bhai tells her that they are often taken on Rs 10,000 to work for a year and they feel that they will free after a year but the debt never finishes.
