Children died in abandoned Open cast mines, demand for leveling gets louder
Subhash Gayali from Dhanbad in Jharkhand is telling us that locals in that area has been demanding for long that after coal mining is finished the abandoned open cast mines should be levelled so that farmers can restart their farming. That demand got louder today when 4 children drowned in collected water inside an open cast mine, where they had gone to play and lost their lives. People are very angry after the incident. Kanha authorities flouting rehabilitation laws to evict villagers, alleges leader...
Darbu Singh Uike former MLA from Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh is alleging that Kanha National Park authorities are flouting rehabilitation laws to evict villagers from 18 villages. The villagers are offered Rs 1.5 lakhs if they leave their houses first as a prize money. House burnt, Woman dishonored, Crop destroyed but Police takes no action...
