Many of you will remember the case of Pitbasu Bhoi from Surguja district in Chhattisgarh whose son had died in hospital when he was still waiting for his NREGA wages after working for 100 days. Once it was reported on Swara he was paid his wages but not the compensation for late payment. Pitbasu Bhoi should be a poster boy for NREGA for working all the 100 days under the program. But as you may recall as it was reported before on this forum that his son died in need of attention when he was still struggling to get his wages. He has got his wages after the incident but he has tried twice to give an application for late application but officials have refused to take it.
