Sanika Munda from Khunti district Jharkhand is telling us about an incident where a woman, Pudungi Devi of Horo village was murdered and burned on March 20, 2013 because her murderers thought her to be a witch. Her son, Sukhram Munda lodged a FIR in the local Police Station on March 22. The police arrested two persons but after
few hours they were released. The police even refused to do any investigation in the case and asked Sukhram to find her mother’s dead body on his own. Sukhram found her mother’s dead body a kilometre far from his village after a week. There were only few bones left of her mother which Sukhram handed over to the police. But the police has
